Ever feel guilty?

I had a rough day today. I teach pre-k (4th year) and I just don't like it anymore. The children are very cute but sooooo needy and I feel like I'm babysitting at times. Anyway today I had one of my boys just drive me insane and I ended up yelling at him a lot because he just wouldn't listen. Now I'm home feeling guilty. Do you ever feel they will go home and tell their parents how mean you are etc. I feel like I'm going to get in trouble every time I get angry with a student. I'ts not my personality. I'm annoyed and burnt from the grade and it gets to me. I feel like the days where I'm just tired and in a bad mood to begin with are the days I really sound horrible. They do need discipline b/c they are a "chatty" group and he did have to get disciplined but I'm just so sick of feeling bad everytime I have to yell. Thanks for listening and letting me get it off my chest!

I have totally felt this way and know how you feel. I have a very difficult bunch this year and sometimes it makes me want too rip my hair out. Honestly though, I don't feel yelling ever makes me feel better. I also noticed though that when I do get mad, I swear I get more hugs & I love you's than ever, it's so weird. I'm sure they forget much quicker than we do.
