Is 350 a lot of calories for a salad?

Re: Calories

Well, no, but you want to make sure that most of the calories come from lean proteins and veggies, not cheese, croutons, or salad dressing.

Re: Calories

Does that include the salad dressing? If not, remember that dressing can add a lot of calories too. Does the salad have protein like chicken or tofu? That will add calories but make you feel full and satisfied.

It's important to consider what your total calorie requirements for the day are for your body and goals (weight loss or maintenance?, are you a very active person?, etc).

Not knowing anything about you, if the total calories are 350 and it will be enough to satisfy you for a meal (like lunch), then I think it's fine.

Re: Calories

I had the new salad from wendys. The cranberry pecan salad? It was very delish, but wondering if I'm doing more harm then good.

A calorie is a calorie. The way you lose weight is to have a caloric deficit. So you're not doing any harm by eating a salad, but if your salad is full of things that aren't going to satisfy you, then you're going to be hungry pretty quickly which will make you eat (or starve!) and that doesn't really help you!
