I just found out
that my MIL dog that we are watching for awhile is not updated with his shots. So petco will not groom him. I would love to get his hair and nails trimmed --can I take him somewhere else?
Or if I want to give him a bath myself what can I use to wash him?

I don't know of any place that will groom him without shots...but you can buy dog shampoo at petco, or petsmart.

What kind of dog?
And no, no reputable place will take a dog without updated shots.
I like to use an oatmeal shampoo for the dogs, since it helps to sooth their skin. There are a ton at Petco/PetSmart & most are about $5 - 10.
