when do dogs stop peeing when
they get excited to see someone? every time i go visit my parents/brothers lately Maya pees. She had gotten better but now she still does?

growing up i had a cockapoo that never really did stop. we just greeted her outside the front door so she would piddle on concrete instead of in the house.

there is a way to train them to stop the "happy pee," but it could also be medical. Ask your vet at the pups next visit!

She might never stop. My sister's dog still does this and she is five. The best thing to do is to enter the house calmly and not greet her excitedly. I have to ignore my sister's dog for the first few minutes and then just pet her calmly.

Do a search online for information about submissive urination. That is often the reason.

my puppy is going to be 2 in may and he still does it. it's sooo annoying but how can i be mad at him? he's just happy to see me! i know he doesn't mean it. i just wish it would stop.

one of my sister's golden retrievers used to get excited and pee whenever she saw me or my dad. i have no idea why she was so affected by the two of us in particular. it last for her first couple of years and then faded away as she got older.

yes she only pees when she sees me or DH, i guess because we dont see her everyday and she loves me. She's SO cute i really love her. She has been spayed and she's a retriever or lab/shephard mix.

my older dog only used to do it when she was a puppy, but stopped when she became fully house broken...our little one does it more often, especially when we come home and pay immediate attention to her....so for the first few minutes i'm home I just let her trot around the house with her toy in her mouth...then I'll let them out and get excited outside with them and she will tinkle out there.
