Help--I need your suggestions!
Ok, my friend is getting married in Aruba and I just got her invitation. We can't go because I can't get the time off from work and because of our little one on the way-we are trying to save our money any way we can.
So, my question is what should I give her? She came to my wedding and gave $250.00. I was thinking $150.00 is that too cheap?

Quite honestly, I gave what I got for everyone wedding... I did not attend my cousins wedding, they gave me $200 at mine, I sent a card and $200 back! Good Luck!

I would give them the same amount that they gave you.
I always do, regardless of whether I can go to their party or not.

I don't agree with the whole give what they gave me. If you are not in a financial position to do so, then give what you can. If this person is a true friend then they will understand that you are saving up for a baby.

If you can afford to give what they gave you then I would do that especially because you won't be spending any money to travel to the wedding.
If it's out of your budget though then give what you can afford.

I have never been in that situation, but what about sending them a gift that falls between the $150 and $250? Sometimes you can find something really nice on their rgsitry...
Just a thought.
