Hills Science Diet - Adult Light Small Bites - Good?

Do any of you know whether or not it's safe for dogs to eat HILL'S SCIENCE DIET?

A few weeks back (before the food scare), my two yorkies weren't keeping food down, and they were lethargic. I had just switched them to a new food - you guessed it! NUTRO MAX. It was the dry kind, but they were still really sick. I took them off it immediately, and switched them back to the old food, HILL'S. A few days later, I heard the craziness about the dog food and rat poisoning. Not sure if this is coincidence or not, but I think my dog's might have been affected.

Are there any longterm side effects from eating RAT POISONING for dogs that didn't die from it?

I'm so nervous that they were harmed.

The best thing would be to take them to the vet for bloodwork. I'm sure they are okay though, Nutro makes the dry food at a different plant so it wasn't affected.

The dry food wasn't contaminated - not Nutro, not Hill's.

MY dog was eating Nutro canned mixed with dry - he shows no symptoms but we took him for bloodwork anyway.

ITA, if you are afraid that your dogs are affercted bring them to the vet immediately. Only a bloodtest can confirm that there was poison present in their food & if there are kidney issues as a result.

As far as people are saying, the dry Nutro & the Hills are not affected, but if you are worried about the possibility of Nutro not being good, then I would go with a human-quailty food like Merrick, Wellness or Blue Buffalo food.

I checked Hill's website. I think that that type is a-ok. I feed our dogs Hill's Prescription I/D and it is ok.
