Iam at my breaking point!
I am really ready to just give up. It's causing me depression now. I wonder what else I can do as a career. 
Did anyone else just give up and move on to something else? I can't do this anymore. It's taking everything out of me. I have no more hope!
Sorry if this sounds depressing, but I am just so ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

What is going on that makes you feel this way? Are you new in the profession? If so, give it time. It is soooo hard in the beginning.
Is it this class? Your administration?

Sorry I didn't specify- I am done LOOKING for a job. I wish I had one. I just can't take the constant disapointments anymore....

Don't give up! I had the WORST experience with interviews and being rejected OVER AND OVER again. I ended up being a permanent sub for 1 year, then a TA, then worked 2 years for the NYCDOE, and FINALLY landed a job on Long Island. I am now SO happy where I am and really appreciate my position because of the road I had to take to get here.

I am trying that as we speak. I am hearing its almost as hard as LI though!

Just keep plugging at it. I have to say that although this time of year is when a lot of people apply, don't forget the end of August and even into September. I know of 2 jobs in my school that came to be at the end of September, when classes were too large.

The education job market here is beyond ridiculous. Even with two years experience and a Masters, I couldn't find a job.
So, we finally decided to move out-of-state (for other reasons, too) and my soon-to-be-principal signed me on the spot for next year! She couldn't BELIEVE what I told her about finding a job here!

I feel your pain. When I was looking last year, it took me from Jan until June 2 to find a job. That time was also incredibly frustrating and depressing. I have a lot of fam/friends in the field and have watched many of them struggle to get a job too. It is ridiculously competitive and political but if it what you really want to do, stick with it.

sorry to hijack, but my sister is a teacher in Hanover county (near richmond).
all she had to do was take the state test - she doesnt have a masters degree or an education degree for that matter- all you need is a 4 year degree.
if you have nys certification, you'll get hired in an instant in VA.
