Anyone else have Coach "overload"?

I think every woman on LI must have Coach bags. I even see really old ladies with them now!

I used to be such a huge fan, but I am so sick of seeing them on 6 yr olds - 80 years old and every single woman in between! Chat Icon

they just don't seem "special" to me anymore. Chat Icon

Re: Anyone else have Coach "overload"?

i think coach really expanded their market (to their own advantage) by creating more trendy bags, which is why we see every age with them now. but i still love their leather bags (without the c's/colors/etc) and think those are timeless.

I agree. Plus, I really liked them when most of the styles were all leather. That goes back almost 10 years now!

Re: Anyone else have Coach "overload"?

I like them b/c they are durable & depending on the style they can transition from day to night. I have the more classic looks though, not the trendier styles.

ITA that they are so "commonplace" now. My friend's 4 year old carries her old change purse as a clutchChat Icon

I do too.

They started trying to be all things to all buyers and haven't suceeded, IMO.

Three things happened at once:

-Reaching out to the younger crowd with trendier pieces.

-Trying to break into the high end market (have you seen their prices these days?!?!).

-Cutting back on their costs by scaling back the quality.

Ugh. I used to love them.

good points! and what I really cannot stand is that their prices keep going up, yet all their bags and wallets are now made in China! Chat Icon everything used to be made in Italy.

I'm not that interested in Coach anymore. Their stuff is nice, don't get me wrong, but I'm finding a lot of other nice bags at the same price by other designers.

Neither do I. I can appreciate their older stuff - the more classic styles - but I hatehatehate their monogram lines (really, anything monogram in general).

LV is made in China too, and China makes a good product. The leather is still from Italy.
