The last cruise we went on we booked through the cruise line directly, the prices were the same as the other online sites.

There is a great site called cruisecompete.com. Once you find a cruise that you are intrested in then you enter it in with them and then you get quotes from several travel agents/sites. I got an 8 night cruise balcony room to St. Thomas, Tortolla and Bermuda for $450 pp last summer.

Once through my timeshare company (RCI) and most recently through Dawn from CruiseOne - I highly recommend her, she is awesome and a totally sweet person. She beat all deals I had on the table (from online sites, the cruise company, and other TA's).

carnival - friend booked it through liberty travel and i don't think we got a great deal
celebrity - booked directly with celebrity and within a few weeks of going - easy and got a nice price. the only thing about that was that you have to go through an outside agency if you want travel insurance. it wasn't an issue for us because we booked late and weren't worried about canceling. but i thought that might've been annoying.

Travel Agent because it was our first cruise and honeymoon. I'd probably just book throught the cruiseline next time.

We book thru celebrity too. They always offer us travel insurance, and we always take it. The price is so low in comparison, in my opinion its silly not to take it.
