Why doesn't anyone eat egg yolk?
I know it's not good to eat a lot of yolk...especially if you have a cholesterol issue but why is everyone eating only whites. If I make eggs I usually eat one yolk and one white...it's more satisfying.
Am I making a big mistake? I thought the proteins and vitamins are important???
Thoughts?

I usually limit myself to one egg yolk a day......the rest are whites. There are quite a bit of nutrients in a yolk, it's perfectly fine. I guess some people avoid it b/c it does have some fat in it as well.......but certainly not a significant amount from just one.
A lot of health/fitness magazines actually say not to skip the yolk b/c there are so many nutrients in them. 2 per day I beleive is recommended. But I only eat one.

I think it has more to do with calories. At least for me it does.
On WW a whole egg is 2 pts where 2 egg whites is only 0.5 pts.

I do the same thing. One egg then 1-2 egg whites.

I eat the whole egg....I used to buy the egg whites in the carton but I didnt like the consistency
Every year they go back and forth on whether eggs are good for you or bad for you.....I'll eat the whole thing till they make up their minds

I know! I eat the whole egg. The nutrients are astounding in the yolk. I get B12 vitamins, folic acid..etc.. I need all that stuff.
I too do the one egg and the rest egg whites. I don't eat eggs all that often so once a week is fine.

I think you do it perfectly - one egg yolk and the rest egg whites
Egg yokes are good for you - well despite the cholesterol - so one is perfect

I don't think that you're making a mistake. I don't count points - I just prefer to eat one whole egg and then add extra whites.

I eat whole eggs.
I don't have a cholesterol problem. don't eat much in the way of fried or unhealthy foods.
if I feel like I've had too many whole eggs in a week, I'll mix it up. but I love my yolks.

I eat one complete egg and then add one white to it. I don't like the texture of just the whites.
