Need opinions on Disney resorts... Coronado Springs, Port Orleans FQ or Carribean Beach Resort?

We're probably going in September and can't decide which resort.. they all look soooo cool.... keep in mind we'll have a 6 yr old, 2 yr old and a 7 month old.

we've stayed at both Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach and I think CB is more kid friendly. They had more pools the Coronado. Both are very nice and you really can't go wrong with either.

i really liked the caribbean beach resort..depending where ur villa is tho it can be quite the trek from place to place..

imo it is worth spending the $$ on a hotel that has the monrail then schlep kids on and off the buses..tho that is just my opinon:)

disney is sucha blast--enjoy :)

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in 2004. It was a family vacation, so we had 1-2 year old & 1-4 year old. It was a great resort

Of those resorts, I have only stayed at POFQ and loved it. It's on the smaller side so the food court, pool (with a cool dragon slide!!) & bus stop are short walks. The only 2 drawbacks are 1) it shares a bus with Riverside but FQ is the first stop and 2) there's no sit down restaurant if that makes a difference. Of course being Disney, all the resorts are kid friendly.

You might also want to check the Wilderness Lodge - it's in the delux category but it's not as expensive. They have a boat to the Magic Kingdom which is nicer and easier then the buses (strollers roll right on) plus a sit down restaurant, food court, gorgeous property, etc.

Port Orleans Riverside is a great hotel. DH and I have been there a few times.

I've heard that Carribean beach is a blast, as well.

Stay away from Coronada Springs -- it's geared towards a "convention center/business hotel" and would NOT be fun for kids. As an adult, I find it boring and I'm sure any child would agree!

I have been to the Carribean Beach 3 times and Coronado Springs. I would recommend Carribean Beach. It is a great place and has the best of both worlds. You are at Disney but feel like you are in the Carribean. Coronado was was nice but not as relaxing as Carribean Beach, and with kids I'd definately go there.

I heard that some of the mod hotels are selling out b/c of the free dining promotion in Sept.

Disney is offering Free Dining if you book your stay before Sept 22.

The promo is from sometime in Aug thru Sep 22nd.

It's a great deal to take advantage of, but as the previous poster said, some of the hotels are selling out b/c of the free dining offer.

I stayed at Carribean Beach resort years ago - I was kid, but from what I remember it was good.
