Can I wear this dress...
on the "formal" night of the cruise we are going on in July?
I've never been on a cruise so I have no clue how people dress. I'm just assuming that some wear sundresses while others wear prom dresses.... 
This is from Ann Taylor Loft, it's very flattering and I think it's dressier than just a sundress, especially if I spruce it up with cute shoes and jewelry. What do you think? I bought it today and I am in love with it, but I need to figure out what I can wear it for.

definitely!! formal means a wide variety of things lately on cruise ships. many people on our last cruise thought that jeans were perfectly acceptable on formal night.

Very cute dress...I haven't been on a cruise, so I don't know how dressy they get on formal night...but, definitely bring it with you...I'm sure you can wear it anytime!

when we went on a cruise the entire group at the table next to us wore the bathrobes to dinner on one of the formal nights....so by those standards you will be over dressed!

I definitely think it's formal enough to wear for "formal" night on the cruise!
