Sorry..another question
I joined OLAS in January. I heard it was a good idea to send my resume by mail too b/c many people have gotten phone calls from this (mailing) more than anything. Everytime I do it I get a card in the mail stating that they do not accept paper resumes and to apply on OLAS..What am i doing wrong?  Is there any hope w/ OLAS?? Thank you. Sorry if I'm being annoying.

if the job is posted on OLAS I assume they want an online resume. I don't send a paper one unless the ad specifically asks for one

Yes i know but i was told it was good to send one anyway but i can't stand getting those little cards in the mail! I guess OLAS is the only way for the schools that choose to join it.
Oh and I wanted also to know if anyone else gets these cards?? lol Can you tell I'm getting paranoid and antsy ?? lol

I have only gotten cards that said "We recieved it and if we want to interview you we will call you". From what I have been hearing, most people never hear anything from the districts they applied to through OLAS. Whatever that means. I don't know why they even use it. I applied for a SUBBING position on OLAS in December and still haven't heard from them  I sent paper ones to 2 districts on OLAS without a job posting for subs and was called back within days and have been subbing in those 2 ever since. I think you just need to do what you feel is right and whatever happens happens. No need to get paranoid

Wow I thought it was just me! I have never gotten a response through OLAS. Not even one of those annoying little cards.
