Things to do in Newport Rhode Island?

Walk around the waterfront, it's so beautiful there!
I know there were a lot of places that you could rent kayaks, go on boat tours (like sunset tours), and of course lots of good restaurants & bars! We were there in the summer so I don't know what is open this time of year.

We did the cliff walk, mansions, a boat tour, and just walked around by the water. There's also some shopping around there that's pretty good...and of course, there's a few nice places to have a few drinks at night too.
Now I want to go back!!!

Newport is so nice!
The cliff walk is great, touring the mansions, there is a Newport winery, lots of great places to eat and shop, take a boat ride on the water!

As far as restaurants, we like:
Aidan's - it's an Irish Pub. It's really authentic and cute.
Red Parrot, The Landing, Black Pearl, and Brick Alley Pub are off of Thames street.
Lucia Italian Restaurant, also off of Thames Street was ok. It's a little bit more of a romantic setting inside.
Atlantic Beach Club, a restaurant on the beach, is also fun. In the summer, they have a band and there's a bar outside.
Thames street has a strip of stores/boutiques like Banana Republic. There's another shopping area, right across the street, with The Gap and Pier one.
Bars/clubs...
Newport Blues Cafe lounge is on Thames street. Rhino Bar is a little cheezy, but fun. It's across the street from the Blues cafe. It's sort of by itself in a corner.
Have fun! Newport is a great place. We might be going next weekend..

We just booked our trip tonight - 3 nights at Frances Malbone (it was a toss up between that, Cliffside and Inn Bliss).
I'll probably have more questions too LOLOLOL
