Email I recvd in reference to Beneful...
I emailed doggybling about there false accusations and this is what they emailed back to me. And I was not nasty at all like this email was to me!!!
We fully stand behind the fact that Beneful is making some dogs sick and killing others. Purina is very aware of this fact. True dog lovers would certainly refrain from using a product that has exhibited problems for many dogs. We'll be glad to accept your apology, as we have from others, who continued to support Purina. I hope you work for them or own stock, because nothing else makes sense. Watch for the story to break where Purina has known about the problem since, at least, August 2006. We have proof and emails like yours lets me know we have to break it fast. We'll begin putting it together this weekend and will release the information Tuesday. If you still support them after that, then its just sad. Ric

Re: Email I recvd in reference to Beneful...
I really don't get that whole thing. What do they have against Purina and/or Beneful? Don't get me wrong, if it's true I would change brands in a second. But, Misty has been eating Beneful for over two years now and no problems at all. Plus, the only reason I feed her this is cuz my friends dog lived to be 16 on Beneful (English Setter).

Re: Email I recvd in reference to Beneful...
This made me SO mad- so I sent THEM an email:
To whom this may concern,
Perhaps when consumers email you to inquire about your "sources" you might consider responding to their inquiries with more professionalism. I should think that a group of people running a web site that claims to be supportive of pets and their loving owners, someone would rethink sending an email that belittles the consumer. This email was received by an active poster on a pet board that I frequent: We fully stand behind the fact that Beneful is making some dogs sick and killing others. Purina is very aware of this fact. True dog lovers would certainly refrain from using a product that has exhibited problems for many dogs. We'll be glad to accept your apology, as we have from others, who continued to support Purina. Ric While I appreciate you feel that you are doing a service by attempting to educate the public, when a consumer takes the time to educate herself and asks direct questions about your sources (which have been largely heresy from the information I gathered off your own web site), you might rethink sending such a grammatically incorrect, inflammatory reply. You do realize that by doing so, you slowly lose support from the very people you are attempting to "educate". Since I have taken the time, perhaps you can explain why my dog, my brother's dog, and my PARENTS' dogs have yet to suffer any illness and have been eating Beneful for some time? I have followed the news of the recalls for some time now and it's been a very stressful time for ALL pet owners. To imply that I and others who continue to feed their animal a food source that has yet to be recalled, and has never made our animals sick as being irresponsible is insulting. Please, by all means feel free to reply.
Sincerely, Amy ****

Re: Email I recvd in reference to Beneful...
Just wanted to clarify- I didn't receive that email- the OP did. I replied because I was hopping mad that she was treated that way.
Having taken many courses on reserch design and proper researching methods, it frustrates me to read incomplete and/or biased "information" like what it spewed on doggiebling.com.
Considering their only sources are supposed claims made by the public (they have an alleged veterinarian on the site- where is the research, the lab tests that PROVES that Beneful is to blame?) I find it difficult to believe everything that this website claims.
I have yet to hear from Ric or any other representative of doggiebling.com...... But I will post when I do

That is great that you wrote back to them regarding the OPs response. It is not only condescending, but it also did nothing to verify where they were getting their information from. Horrible.
Please let us know if they respond.
