aww don't worry, I was just as worried when I had mine spayed...she will need plenty of rest when you bring her home but she'll be fine!

she does both! The chortle is like a reverse sneeze, the vet said that's completely normal.
But, when she does have her coughing spells, they get strong sometimes, to the point of gagging. But, she's always trying to eat paper, towels, hair. So, she could just be choking on that stuff.

yeah the chortle thing my dog does all the time.... we just rub her throat when that happens and she calms down.....
