First Beta--could it be twins???--Updated with sono results--its multiples...but there is a problem

I just got my BFP via IVF and at 17dpo it was 793. I go back for a 2nd beta tomorrow and then sono in 2 weeks.

Does this sound like maybe twins??? They put back 2 embies on a day 3 transfer.

What should have been a great moment in my life has turned into the most devastating decision/situation that I have ever been in.

I did IVF and put in 2 embies. Apparently, both implanted, and one split. I now have 3 growing babies with h/b's at 6w3d. At the point, it is too soon to tell if the identicals are sharing a sac or not, but that would also pose another whole complication if they did.

Both my RE and dr. have said that I would not be able to carry triplets and strongly suggested that I consider selective reduction. Based on everything, I know they are right and I know that by trying to carry all three I would be jeopardizing all of their lives. I also have a 3 year old who I adore and I can only imagine the affect it would have on her.

To top things off, neither of the two specialists that they referred me to take health insurance, so it would all be out of pocket, thousands of dollars.

The dr.'s also said that since it is early, the pregnancy may reduce on its own.

I hate this so much. I can't stop crying and I don't know how I am going to keep it together.

Well my beta number was lower than that... 631 on 17 DPO so....

looks like you very well maybe expecting twins

Mine was pretty high in the beginning..and the dr said that it could be twins AGAIN...(would of been my 3rd set!)..Nope just one little guy here this time around!

Hello ladies,

Well, thankfully the beta went up nicely to 1807. It went up from 793, so I am thinking maybe it is just one. What do you think?

Either way, I'm happy. I guess I really won't know for sure until the first sono on 5/22.

I don't know my second Beta's number so I can't help.
