Headaches? Please help...
For the last 3 days I've had terrible headaches. I'm worried this might be a sign of something being wrong.
I'm 9 wks pregnant - hae any of you had bad headaches too?

My friend who is due in April she is starting her 11th week gets headaches. Her Dr told her this is normal. Also did you get headaches before you were pregnant? Her Dr told her that anything you have before you get pregnant gets worse once you are pregnant.

It happened to me too... awful, mind-splitting headaches that wouldn't go away no matter what. It is definitely one of the symptoms of pregnancy, but ongoing headaches that don't go away can also be a sign of hypertension. If you also have any kind of blurry vision or extreme swelling, then you should call your doctor. Either way, next appointment, let your Dr. know... he can let you know what you can and cannot take to alleviate the headaches...

i'm 12 weeks today and I have had bad headaches for the last few days. Good to know its normal. I woudl have some occassionally before I got pregnant.

I had bad headaches in the begining too...it's the hormones. You could take tylenol but for me it really didn't do much.....they should stop in a few weeks!

Thanks girls!
I rarely got headaches before I was PG. The last few days its been hard. I hate taking anything since Im PG but Ive had to take Tylenol a couple of times. I tried just taking one pill and it did nothing. 2 pills helped though...and sleeping 14 hours yesterday helped!

Thats the one thing I remember about the beginning of my pregnancy all the way into my second trimester. I had terrible headaches, I rarely got them pre-pregnancy so I knew it was related to be being PG. I asked my doctor about them and he said they are totally normal, hormone related.
You are fine! Don't stress over headaches, stress will make them worse!

I had really bad h/a's...they didn't start until 9 or 10 weeks and lasted until 13. They were EVERYDAY! I took Tylenol twice, which my doctor said was fine, but I tried hard not to take it....I found a few things contributed to it....not drinking enough water, exerting myself. and my position sleeping. I had started around that time to force myself to sleep on my side and I hated it and was achy. I invested in a body pillow and it really helped.
One day I woke up and my h/a's were gone...but I know how you feel..they were unlike anything I had ever experienced!
Good Luck! I am sure everything with the baby is fine, just one more side effect.

I know this sounds silly, have you thought about acupuncture. When I was doing it when we were going through IVF, I would get massive headaches, due to the medication.
As soon as I started seeing her, my headaches went away and dint come back for over a week.

I had horrible headaches, almost everyday in the beginning. I usually never take anything for the pain with them, but I had to. I took some tylenol and much felt better.
