Did you tell anyone right away?
I just got my BFP yesterday, and I think I'm going to tell my parents today. I know that it is so early, but I really don't want to keep it from them. Did anyone else tell family right away?

We told our immediate families right away, just our parents and siblings and swore them to secrecy. We don't plan on telling anyone else until after the 1st trimester.
I was glad i told them, with my 1st pg sadly ended in miscarriage, i needed the people I was most close too.
PLUs with this pg, IT"S EXCITING!! We have people to talk about the pregnancy with!! DH is dying to tell people, he calls me at work and says "Guess what? My wife is pregnant and I'm gonna be a daddy!!" So cute!!

Well everyone knew we were TTC and having trouble...so pretty much as soon as I got the blood test confirming the pregnancy, we told our family and right after that told our friends.

We told my family and DH's family when we were about 6 weeks along. It took us that long to digest it ourselves

We waited. A week after I got my BFP we were inviting my parents over for dinner (they couldn't make it), good thing cause I started to bleed a couple of hours later. I got an appt at the doctor and found out everything was fine then told them. So I was at the beginning of my 5th week. We told DH's parents on the phone that night (they live in Florida) and we don't plan on telling anyone else until the end of Oct - maybe

Since I already have a son, I dressed him in a "I'm the Big Brother T-shirt" and let my parents figure it out!
For the first one, we didn't really do anything creative. We just waited for the right opportunity to slip it in. My mom was complaining about her job, and we told her we could offer her a better one if she quit. She could be our nanny! she got it right away!

Congrat's on your BFP! Best Wishes.
We told my parents and DH's parents a few days after I found out I was pregnant.
I told them not to say anything to anyone until everything went okay at our first appointment.
We then told the rest of my family, friends and coworkers towards the end of my first trimester. I was around 10 - 13 weeks.

Congrats!!
I just got my BFP on Friday and haven't told anyone. DH won't let me!!!!
I know he's right though, my mom will tell EVERYONE! So we're going to wait until I see the dr on the 26th. By then, I'll almost be 9 weeks. It's killing me waiting.

Well I just told my mom, my best friend, and my best friend's mom. It was so much fun telling! My dad wasn't home, so my mom will have to tell him. I think I will tell my brothers, too, and leave it at that. I didn't do anything creative, just said that I had news... It was still exciting.

just DH, we waited until after the 1st trimester to tell family and everyone else. The doc. wasn't sure if he'd make it though so we didn't want to have to tell everyone if something happened.

Just my parents as soon as I got a BFP. It time was a miss and second time told them early again and then everyone else after 1st trimester.

I am almost 7 weeks pregnant and I still have not told my immediate family. It does kill me not to tell them. DH and I will tell them in a couple of weeks.

I told my dad and sister right away.
We sent flowers to grandma, MIL, stepmom, and real mom for mother's day saying the good news.
Friends we started telling at 10 weeks.....we had m/c and wanted to play it safe

Our rule was we would tell anyone that we would also tell if something went wrong.
We told immediate family almost right away, and close friends shortly after that.

We told parents and siblings first, then friends a few days later. We have been married for six years and we were asked the "when are you two having a baby?" question about a million times from our parents, therfore we could not keep it from them. I think my mom would have disowned me if I did not tell her right away.
We basically told the people that would be in our corner if God forbid anything went wrong. Plus, the more prayers and good energy that we received the better. That's how we looked at it.
