How do you do YOUR cheese

Don't ask me why this question popped into my head - it has been a long day Chat Icon

Needless to say, I made Mac & Cheese for dinner and it took me forever to grate all the darn cheese. So much easier to buy it grated, but I am a cheapskate sometimes Chat Icon

Re: How do you do YOUR cheese

It depends on the kind of cheese. I love cheddar cheese in the block. YUMMY

Re: How do you do YOUR cheese

I usually buy it grated for everything but parmesan. I don't know why I shred the parmesan. I guess because DH is italian and looooooves his fresh parm.

Re: How do you do YOUR cheese

When I make homemade mac & cheese I buy the block of cheese but I cube the block and melt it that way. Shredding takes too long and cubing works just fine.

When I have made Mac & cheese I buy the block & use the food processor to grate it.
