Question about m/c

Hi girls... I don't usually post on here because well, obviously I am not TTC. But I have a question because I know someone (actually a couple of people) who is TTC and I know you girls know alot about this stuff.

Are your chances of having a miscarriage higher if you are over 35 when you get pg for the first time?

I wish you all the best in TTC! Baby Dust to you all! Chat Icon

Unfortunately yes! As its harder to get PG too, Chat Icon But there are plenty of success storiesChat Icon at the age of 35 and up. But our chances for m/c does increase -Chat Icon

Exactly.

BUT not something your friend should worry about going into TTC.

PLENTY of younger women have had them also...it's just very common unfortunately.

Re: Question about m/c

DH's SIL had her 1st child at 38 and her second at 41 and both are healthy and beautiful. So while the risk is high she still shouldn't worry because there are a lot of successful pregnancies too for women over 35...

I know this woman that had all her 3 kids when she was 35 and older and her pregnancy was fine.....

My mom had a miscarriage due to trauma too. Her father died of a sudden heart attack and the grief caused her to miscarry...this was after I was born. I was like 3 or 4.
