Open Houses and signing in

My best friend is a real estate agent on a part time basis...we told her when we were ready to buy that she would definetely be our agent. My FI and I have casually been looking at Open Houses in Nassau and have been signing in at all of the Open Houses..I just found out that I shouldn't be signing in since we are planning on using herChat Icon

Now were aren't planning on buying any of the houises we saw since we aren't planning on buying until next year...do we have an obligation to these other agents????

Not at all, if they call just let them know you are already working with another agent.

As buyers, we had loyalty to no one. Look for the house that's best for you - with or without your agent.

A little word of advice...When you sign in to an open house, use a fake phone number or put down your email address and have the agent send you a listing...This way you wont get 500 calls from different agents....Since you dont plan on using them anyway.

We've been to TONS of open houses, just "recreationally", and always signed in (but with just an email address, Scott is so right on that!) It doesn't create any obligation on your part, it just gives the realtor a way to follow up with you.
