FIELD DAY!
I hate it. It is the single most horrible day of the school year. It isnt fun at all - rant over.

We had a field trip today with the whole Kindergarten and tomorrow is our field day...the parents were worse than the kids...can't wait for round two tomorrow

Ours is always the last full day of school....by then the kids are DONE and they act crazy...especially if its hot out
We all dread this day and wonder why we even have it!

Our field day was today and it was horrible......It was so hot out! Then I had to come back in the hot building with a bunch of hyper kids.....It was the never ending day!

My entire school's population has children with special needs. Many of the kids are medicated. Medication and hot sun do not mesh well. My biggest fear was that I would turn my head for one second and one of my kids would run. Well I did not turn my head, but one ran clear into the street to chase a ball and I screamed like a banshee to stop him. We had plenty of staff and they were in close proximity, but this child had it fixed in his mind to get that ball and nothing was going to stop him.

Aww, we had ours today and it was so much fun! I love field day! Our PE teacher is awesome and comes up with the best events! Plus, I got an awesome tan today
We had a "Gettysburg Battle" theme to our field day since our headmaster is leaving after this year and he's a Civil War buff. We had an event where the kids had to "shoot the soldier". The science teacher rode a bike around the field, and the teams had color-coordinated water balloons and had to hit him with them. They got points everytime they hit him. What could be more fun than that?

Sounds like a lot of fun!
I can't wait to be a permenant PE teacher, so I can be more assistance in the planning!
