My fat cat is losing weight... Update on the bottom...
And I don't know why...
I am going to bring him to the vet....
I can feel his shoulder blades... I am very upset about this.... He has been eating less, but I thought it was because he was hot... now I'm not so sure...

Thats what I'm thinking - and hoping - he is almost 12, so its not like he's a young cat, but he has always been healthy...
I feel guilty - I have been sleeping in the living room every night because Cailen wakes up my husband, so Storm has been sleeping with DH upstairs, and sleeps in the closet all day because its hot, so I havent been as observatn with him because he has not been around me - I have been so wrapped up with the baby... DH started to notice him losing weight first because they sleep together every night....
My poor baby.... 
I am calling the vet on monday...

My kitties lost weight due to Hyperthyroidism..they are on meds now..
it's very common for cats.
I hope it's not that, but if it is, it will be fine.

it's very common for cats.
Mine too. They said she lost 4 lbs in one year and that's what the blood test showed. Anyway I give her 1 pill a day now.

my cat had this too. she was on the meds for several years before she died.

Same with my sister's Main Coon. She began to lose weight at about age 11 or so. Totally treatable with meds if it is caught in time.
