summer school
i just applied for a summer school position in a school district. do they typically interview the same way as during the year? do you need to do a demo?

the year I did summer school they didn't require a demo. Most schools only have about 7-9 teaching days left, so I bet most won't require a demo.

it's usually just an interview. they usually give it to people who have done it before first.

My district doesnt hire...but they cut the secondary summer school here. They are being sent off to BOCES

Just an interview usually. No demos. They do interview teachers from within the school district first (usually) and then they reach out to non-district teachers.

Usually just an interview, but a friend actually just got a job without an interview - application only!
