Are there any local hospitals on LI...

that offer family suites where the mother, father and baby can stay together at the hospital? MY SIL had this in OHIO but I'm not sure they offer it here.

I know at St. Charles when my son was born 2 years ago they offered that, at an additional charge.. (my insurance did not cover the room, they told me most insurances did not)

Due to the fact that I am now out of state.. I have no idea if they still offer that.. You can always call them too.. HTH

I stayed in Stony Brook...

DH and baby were with me everynight...however did not have to be....

All the rooms are private ( a little small) and you share a bathroom... (but I dont have anything to compare it too... and really how big do you expect a hospital room to be?)

There were nurses I LOVED and ones I hated... I thought the lactation nurses STUNK BIG TIME... so if you are planning to bf and deliver here dont go in expecting them to teach you anything!!!

The visiting hours i wasnt happy with they were 2-8 and the baby was always in the room... All I wanted to do was rest...and to love on my son...and my room was packed the enitre 6 hours!!!
