Please recommend a new hairdresser!
I've been depressed ever since last night (after sitting there for 3 hours) and even more so this morning when I saw these horrible "highlights" I spent $200 on. My hair is darker than before I walked in there minus the greys she missed that I pointed out before we started.  Is it insane that I couldn't sleep because of this?
Anyway does anyone know a good hairdresser in the Syosset/Plainview/Hicksville/Woodbury or border areas that doesn't charge TOO much for cuts/colors but if they do, does a great job?

I don't know if you want to travel to East Northport but I used to use a guy there, when i lived in NY. The name of the place is LAmonda it's somewhere on Larkfield Road, They recently moved
the guys name is Sal. He's AWESOME!!
He charges 60.00 for a H/C though

The money is about the same I think, but I have been going to Jason Royce in Woodbury for years.
I go to Eddie for color and Nelza for cuts. I can't say enough about both of them.
They are on Jericho Tpke. 516-364-8000.

I've been going to Scissors Salon in Syosset for a few years now. While I am happy with the lady cutting my hair, I need a change. I am thinking of going to the one Blu-ize recommended because its not too far. I don't get color or highlights, so I really can't comment on that.
ETA: Can I ask where you were going so I dont end up there? You can FM if you would like.

not exactly the area you're looking for but I go to Sorell in Roslyn and have been going for 10 years. See Janine, she's awesome.
