Worrying
I just feel like I am constantly worrying about everything. Does anyone else feel this way and what did you do to help yourself. The sono tech told me not to stress because when I stress, the baby feels the stress.

Re: Worrying
I am worried too, especially since I've miscarried. It's a tough road and I know I won't feel better until I see a heartbeat on Monday at the first sono and I'll feel even more better after 12 weeks

Re: Worrying
Thanks for the responses. I am a little over 13 weeks. I have been having these annoying dull pains on the right and left side of my stomach. I wonder if this is stretching.

Re: Worrying
Yes, I would totally say that is stretching- everything inside is being shifted to allow the baby room to grow! So, as long as you've seen the baby and the heartbeat theres no need to be in a constant state of stress right?! You'll be fine, just try to relax and enjoy being pregnant!

Re: Worrying
I would definately say that is stretching pain. I am the same way as you also, i worry about everything, and almost prepare myself to the worst. it is terrible. I am worrying like crazy today cause tomorrow is my level II. So after all that babble that i just wrote, yes it is normal to stress and worry, but i keep trying to remember what my dr. said. ARe you bleeding? ARe you leaking fluid? Having cramps? if no then everything is ok.

Re: Worrying
I am the same way - and it doesn't stop. I worried the entire first trimester, it eased up a bit in the second, but now in the third I am totally worried again. But my doctor says the same thing - I have to relax because all of the worrying isn't good for the baby.

Re: Worrying
I want to get another sonogram. Are they any places that will give one other than the ob.gyn office without a referral?

Re: Worrying
I understand completely. I tend to worry a lot. Before every appointment I worry more, because I don't know how my baby is doing and I get a little bit more relax after I see the doctor. I think it's normal... but yes, try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy and the wonderful things that are happening

First one------- I have had many so far. I had one yesterday!
I guess I need to stop with all this worrying and enjoy it. I am going to go out now to keep my mind off of it.

Re: Worrying
This was me the first 13 weeks of my pregnancy...
I would literally cry...hysterically before every DR.'s apt because I was so scared Id get there and he'd say something was wrong... or GOD FORBID they couldnt find a heartbeat... I felt like I was crazy...and was not enjoying pregnancy at all...mainly cuz ALL I DID WAS WORRY!!
Then I rented the babybeat doppler, and as soon as it got here ( yes I am so insane I paid for rush delivery) it all vanished.... the first few days I basically walked around with it attached at my side... now I listen every night before I go to bed, and if I have a bad day or get a little paranoid, hearing my babys beating heart makes me feel so much better....
All I can say is try not to worry, I KNOW its so hard, and find something that will always keep you reassured things will be ok... good luck!

I also ordered the babybeat doppler and paid for overnight shipping and could not get it to work. So of course I freak out and call my doctor and he says that is why I do not like people getting those and then he said I could come into the office and we will do a sono here. I went for the ultrasound and felt better.
I still can not get the thing to work here at home. All I hear is swishing and I guess my heartbeat.
How far along were you when you heard the heartbeat at home?

Re: Worrying
It totally natural to worry - you are growing a little life inside you!!!!
I'm pregnant with my second and I'm just as nervous and paranoid with this one as I was my first. I have to tell myself that everything will be fine - I just look at my daughter and know it'll all be fine.
If you should ever be nervous or have a question just call your doctor - that is what they are there for!!!!! The first time around I called all the time and they gladly took me with a smile and calmed me down. They have heard and seen it all - us preggo's can get pretty hormonal LOL!!!

Thanks, I just feel like my doctor gets annoyed when/if I call. I talked to the nurse yesterday and she told me not to feel that way at all and there are people that call every single day.

Re: Worrying
I think it's natural to worry... I know I do..BUT you have to ENJOY your pregnancy and try not to worry about stuff. Unless the Dr. has said that something is wrong don't stress. Sounds like everything is ok so far! CONGRATS!!! This is a happy time in your life! You're going to be a mom to some really lucky child

Re: Worrying
I am so guilty of this. DH wants to tell the whole world and I would like not to tell anyone because I am so paranoid something will go wrong. Things have gone so easy for us that I feel like its too good to be true. My problem is that I read too much on the internet and get myself crazy! I have gotten much better but sometimes thoughts run through my mind.

I couldnt agree with this more, at first all I did was read up on things on the internet...it would make me so paranoid, then of course Id go into work and tell friends of the newly found risks I read...everyone would yell at me STOP READING, so I did and it was the best advice I ever took

Re: Worrying
My DH gave me a really nice card the other day when I was not feeling too well and he wrote on the inside that I need to stop reading everything on the internet. I have gotten better.
Are there any good chat sites that anyone can recommend?
