fireworks
Anyone else's dog terrified of the fireworks? My dog is sooo terrified. He shakes like a leaf. The vet gave me tranquilizers for him, but I hate using them. I feel terrible!

We don't have that problem at all. Misty is a hunting dog so an M-80 can go off across the road and she doesn't react.
My mom's dogs both freak out at the fireworks, though and she has found tranquilizers are the best thing in the long run. The dogs aren't totally freaked out for over a day and they don't seem to have any side effects from the tranqs.

My dog is so scared and shakes so bad as well with the fireworks. I have given her a tranquilizer as well. I hate giving them to her, but it makes her feel better! Esp around july 4th.
