I've had an interesting 24 hours...
Last night I came home...took Misty for her walk and then let her out in the backyard around 9 p.m. She came back in ten minutes later and I didn't think about it. As I'm getting ready for bed at 10 p.m. I realize I haven't seen Espresso I start looking for him in the house, shaking his food and he's nowhere. I go out front, no luck - backyard, no luck. Go back in for a flashlight to see if he's under the new half deck and a big grey cat comes up to me looking for the food. I give him a little and see Espresso run along the fence towards the backyard - AWAY from me and the food. He hops the fence into the yard behind us and I now have to get in the car and go around the corner. Go into my neighbors yard with flashlight and finally get close enough to grab him and he starts screeching and tries to claw me!!! My cat has turned instantly wild....when I got him home he did nothing but sit in the windows and cry ALL night long.
Then, I take Misty to the park this morning and she's doing her zoomies around the park...hits a patch of sand on cement and slides out into a fence, so her left front and back legs are all cut.
I told DH that I obviously can't be trusted alone with my babies anymore.

Maybe Espresso was looking for the ice cream man.
Hope you all are doing well.

She actually seems to be fine, we went for a nice long walk tonite and she didn't seem to limp at all. This dog is like a machine, I swear.

Re: I've had an interesting 24 hours...
I guess it was a weird day. My dog and the neighbor's cat had some friendly play through the fence. They are usually, well, like cats and dogs. I am usually afraid for what could happen if my dog were able to catch up to the cat. Today they were in love!!!!!
I must show my mom your avatar. We both have a love for weimeraners (my uncle had 2 when I was a kid).

I hope your babies are doing better!
My cats do that too..when they escape and come back in they think they are Tony the Tiger or something.

Molly does this randomly too. My neighbors probably think I am kewky the way I chase after her in the front yard (they all have dogs). Cats are so moody!
Hope your cutie, Misty, is doing better
