new here
Hi, all.
I think this forum is great. It gives you some hope and a place to go to vent. My story short and sweet. Im 38 and have a 3 year old girl, 2nd infertility, ----- 5 failed iui's, 1 failed ivf and 1 ivf done one week ago. Currently, im going through the 11 day wait. Go for my blood work on tuesday.
Right now i do not feel like it worked. No symptoms whatsoever. I just don't feel too optimisitc. RE office just called me and told me that i have no eggs to freeze. happened the first ivf also.
Changing the subject: Has anyone on this board used PGD?
Thanks and baby dust to all.

Re: new here
Welcome and I hope that your IVF was a success !!! Lots of babydust to you :)
I haven't done ivf but I have heard mixed reviews about pgd. I think it all depends on how many eggs are fertilized. The more you have the better chance, pgd can help. Also what your actual reason for the implantation to not 'work out"

Re: new here
Hi Rosanna,
I wish you lots of baby dust so that your ivf will work:)
Did you go to the same clinic for both and are you comfortable sharing where you go?
Best of luck:)

Re: new here
hi tnks for all the positive thoughts.
Yes, I go to RSof ny in Mineola. Been pretty happy there, but not pregnant yet (well maybe- but not sure yet). Trying to be positive, which is hard for me.
They have treated me pretty good when i did my ivf's. Im looking into the PGD, Dr. Stelling is the one who handles the PGD clients. Have not seen him yet, just need to get a consult with him first.
Take care and thanks for all.

Good luck Rosanna - I hope this cycle worked for you! Much baby dust to you!!
I'm sorry but I have no experience with PGD, I'm actually doing my first IVF cycle.

Re: new here
I've done 6 cycles, starting my 7th soon. I've never done PGD (don't make enough eggs so its not even an option for me), but I do know a lot of people who have done it.

Re: new here
Hi, PGD stands for Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis. The embryo is tested for genetic diseases before it is transferred. Usually they perform the test on day 3, and transfer on day 5. To do this procedure, usually the re would like you to have at least 6 embryos. I know a woman who attempted to do the PGD but couldn't because she only had 4 eggs at day 3. So she did the transfer on day 3 without PGD. PGD is probably not covered by insurance.
Thanks Rosanna
