we were thinking of going and we looked at the Sheraton and i believe it was $170 for the night. that was the cheapest and the best that was available. the other hotels were like 5 miles from the boardwalk. Sheraton is only 2 blocks but its still dead center to the boardwalk.

We stayed at the tropicana in the new havana tower and it was great! I don't know if I would call it inexpensive, but we got a package that included a credit for dinner.

There is a Days Inn down the road that we always stay at. It's usually less than $100 for the night.
