How do you stop your cat

from jumping on your bed?
I love her, she new to our home, we just adopted her last Monday and I'm not sure I wanted her sleeping on our bed.

Take a spray bottle and fill it with plain water. When the cat jumps on the bed, give it a spritz. After a few times, he/she won't go on the bed anymore.

The spray bottle is a good idea, but one of my cats still will jump on the kitchen table and he knows it is wrong. He is just trying to get away with it. I think cats learn to do the bad stuff when you arent home.

I would close the door to the room. Unless you've got a cat that can open doors like my kitty.

Unless you keep the door closed, good luck! When you aren't home they will jump on whatever they feel like. My two have a tendency to lie stretched out on the kitchen table in the sun. They know that when we are at the table and there is food out they aren't allowed on it, doesn't stop them trying, that's why they both have a chair each at the table Try the water spray like Gerty said, it does work, I used it with the Christmas tree to stop them stealing the ornaments & climbing up it, a few sprays and they run a mile.

OK, we are trying the water spray, but I went to Petland and they show me this spray that you can use on your bed or wherever you don't your cat.
Has anyone ever heard of it.
I can't remember the name, I'm at my mother's house and I don't have the name of the spray.

I wouldn't use anything but plain water. It's cheap and easy and you know what's in it.

I use plain water. He sees the bottle and runs.
