For fleas and ticks? My vet says the only one to use is Frontline.

For fleas and ticks.
It is for my indoor cats. My vet said that Revolution is not good and told us to get advantix for them. THey just had their first dose today.
I thought they were all the same.

Re: Advantix vs Revoultion...
I don't put anything on the cat at all. He's an indoor cat so I figure he won't pick up anything. So far we haven't had a problem.

I don't put anything on my two either, as they are indoor cats, I've never had any fleas or ticks.

Re: Advantix vs Revoultion...
MY vet highly promotes Revolution. My dogs have been on that since they were 5 lbs (the smallest weight to use Rev).
It works for Fleas, a few Ticks, Heartworm. My dog DID get fleas and they wound up dying and never infesting my house. A few times so I KNOW it works.

Re: Advantix vs Revoultion...
I know, I know.It does sound silly that I use advantix on my indoor cats. But ,remember, there is no treatment for heartworm in cats- dogs... yes. But cats.. no. Mosquitos can transmit the disease. So please ask your vet about this.

Re: Advantix vs Revoultion...
Revolution, if you use it you dont have to use a heart worm prevention medication, it is in there. We have used it on Murphy since we got him and never had a problem. It covers alot of other things besides fleas and ticks.
Revolution

Re: Advantix vs Revoultion...
Frontline has less problems with humans being allergic to it. One of them is bad to use if you have cats but I can't remember which.
