MCM Rottweiler Rescue
Dh and I have been at odds about the dog. We did agree a Rotty then I read all about their tempermant and changed my mind to a black lab. He really wanted a Rotty but we are TTC and have a wonderful and adorable cat. I am scared for the cat but my cousin has a Rotty and was with it all day yesterday and she is the greatest dog. Love the kids and is totally trained. I am now back on the Rotty thing. I don't want to rush into this but time is ticking since I want to get the training going in time to go back to school in Sept. Anyone ever hear of the Rotty Rescue? Good/bad things? Where can I get a Rotty without going to a pet store or puppy mill??? Thanks for any help!!

Re: MCM Rottweiler Rescue
I heard of them. Been around awhile.
You can also do a search on petfinders.com. They have tons of rottie mixes. And mixes are the best type of dogs.
THis place has a lot of rottie mix pups.

Re: MCM Rottweiler Rescue
I think any rescue is going to be a good way to go. We got our dog through a rescue and have had no major problems.
Rottie's are actually great dogs, very loving. My friend has had two since I've known her and both are/were wonderful. Even when she has babies, they adjust with no problems. As long as you introduce the dog to the cat slowly, they should be okay. We have a hunting dog and she is fine with our cat, but chases every cat outside so they do learn the difference.
