Career paths gone wrong

does anyone else feel like the career path they have chosen has only been a huge letdown (not to mention the cost of graduate school) and now you dont know what else you want to do with your life but you know that you no longer want to continue in your field.

I did feel that way about 4-5 years ago, and decided to make a jump for it, quit my full time job and went back to school for a second masters, and now honestly love my career and couldn't imagine doing anything else. For me, another degree was a necessity, but you may not need to go back to school to start over in another career.

Before making a jump though, you may want to speak with a career counselor. If you went to school locally, you may even have this service available to you for free or at a discounted rate for alumni.

Yes. I am actually trying to change fields at the moment for this exact reason.

Yeah....not so much my career but the job choices I made...I was on an awesome path for 4 years, switched jobs, and have been on a downhill rollercoaster since.

i'm glad i'm not the only one feeling lost and discouraged. hopefully we will all find a job we honestly enjoy.
