What is the secret? With poll
I was just looking at the pics of Britney Spears over on NFR and I just can't comprehend the fact that celebrities NEVER seem to get stretch marks!! How is that possible? The first post-baby pic you see is of them baring their stretch mark free bellies.
I can't help but think they have some top secret big $$$ celebrity cure or prevention for stretch marks and I want to know what it is!!! 
I know some women just don't get them - it has to do with genes, blah blah... but what, do all celebrities just happen to have the right genes? 
Do you think they have tummy tucks during their c-sections or something like that? Or maybe stretch marks aren't as common as I'm thinking? Please answer the poll - did you get stretch marks on your belly during your PG?

Yes but I had them already so I think they just grew with the belly.

I didn't get them - neither did my mom so I guess it is genetics...although I did get a few little ones on my breasts.

I didn't get them and I'm not really sure why. I know if the baby grows at a slow and steady pace you are less likely to get them, and if the baby grows bigger faster then it puts more stress on your skin (don't know if that's the right wording but I think you get what I mean).

It is genetics, I have them and so does most of the women in my family.

I got them at the end. Like the last month. I read that this is when they ususally start to appear for most women so a lot of celebrities *supposedly* have c-sections or get induced in the 8th month to avoid stretch marks. IMO that's stupid, but then again I don't make my living off my image, so maybe that's why I don't agree with it.
DH tells me they are my mommy badges of honor.

I think alot has to do with gentics and airbrushing for the celebs. Its amazing what digital imaging can do.

I answered yed but didn't get any on my stomach. Got horrible horrible ones on my boobs. And they are RED! Looks like Freddie Krueger attacked me. Looks like the lights will be staying off in the bedroom

Yeah I got them too and I used Palmer's Cocoa butter from day one My mom had them so I assumed I'd get them too but still had some hope.

Mine were ( and still are) HORRIBLE and I got SOOOOOOOOOO many. Mostly in the last month. It makes me disgusted to even think about it

My Grandmother didn't have them, my mother didn't have them and I didn't get them. I guess it's genetics. However, my belly was lubed up every night with sesame butter from The Body Shop.

And you were so thin during your pg! See I always thought that thinner girls were more likely to get them because that means your belly has to stretch more. But you did stay pretty small.
My belly was buttered up everyday from day one and obviously it didn't do anything for me either.
On the bright side though - mine are pretty low on my belly which means a good chance that I can cut them out with a tummy tuck - if that day ever comes!

I didn't get them and I was shocked that I didn't being that at 3 months I was so big already I had to wear maternity clothes. I guess it has to do with genetics cuz my m om didn't have them and neither did either of my grandmothers. I also used alot of palmers coacoa butter

I didn't get them with baby #1... And I got HUGE... I got a few small ones on my boobs..
With baby #2, I wasnt even showing and I looked as though I went in the tiger cage at the zoo during feeding time!!
With Number 1, I swore by cocoa butter.. this time I started earlier and gave up once they appeared!!!
