Reputable Vet in the Smithtown area

Does any one know of a reputable vet in the Smithtown area? One of my childrens parents (I'm a teacher) thinks her cat has diabetes. She brought it to her Vet and she was completely upset with the outcome of the care and what they had to say. (which wasnt' much of any thing) She wants to go for a second opinion so I told her I'd ask around and see if any one had a good feline vet that they use!! Thanks in advance

I use Hawkin's Hospital for Animals in Ronkonkoma. I don't know how much they know about diabetes though.
She might want to call around and ask the vets.
She will probably have to give him insulin injections and she need someone who knows what they are doing to get him regulated. My sister has a cat with diabetes and over the years she has gotten it down perfect - without the vets help in the long run.
But she will need the vet in the beginning for prescriptions and to show her how to do blood tests.
