Can I dress this up?
OK-I will be in my friend's wedding and she let us pick out our own cocktail length black dress.  I knew that I wanted a halter and was willing to spend about $150. I went to Macy's and a few other stores and didn't like what I saw. I bought this at J Crew. (originally $98 on sale for $50!!---AND I love the way it fits!!) Yes, yes, it's cotton but I think that if my hair is in an updo and I have my make up done nice that I can pull this off. What do you think? Image Attachment(s):

It's a cute dress but I don't think the material is dressy enough even when dressed up. I would find it to be a strange mix.
Did you check J. Crew's sale on-line? They have TONS of dresses on sale from their wedding line.
