UUggghhh!!! Please help!

Im going to try to make this brief because I am seriously going out of my mind & I need your help!

If you have been following some of my posts you would know how miserable I am at my current job. I have been here a month & everyday that passes by, I hate it more & more. I cry on Sunday nights just at the thought of going through another long week here. I am MISERABLE

Anyhow, I contacted my headhunter who got me this job & he as on numerous occassions told me to stick it out for 3 months. (I guess so he can get his commission). He insists that It wont look good when I start interviewing and I have to tell them that I have only been at this place a month.

I am leaving- I know I am, whether I stay here 3 months or not. I am totally wasting MY time as well as the company. No one should have to be THIS miserable.

My question is-
Will this really look THAT bad to potential employers? I was an executive admin at my former job- now Im in a completely different position which I HATE (not to mention bores the living $hit out of me).
Help! I really want to go back to an Exec Admin role opposed to this torture.

i agree.. you dont have to put a job on ur resume if it was less than three months... u cant be miserable everyday at ur job.. im going through the exact thing but i have been here almost seven months and it sucks.. but putting my resume out there also lifes too short to be that miserable.. good luck

I agree with the above! if you are miserable and crying on sunday nites...NOTHING...is worth that! get out! what is it that you want to be doing? maybe someone on here can help. Dont make your life miserable. The only person you are hurting right now is ...YOU!

aww I am sorry to hear this. I was miserable at my old job so after a long search I found something else. I started last month and I do not regret my decision to leave but I am not happy with my new position. It stinks, it is a let down and nothing is worse then going to a job you hate, you are bored with, etc. Do what you have to do to find something else. It is hard out there starting a new job is a huge leap of faith but it doesnt mean it is going to be golden. I hope it all works out for you. Do what your gut tells you to do. Right now is the best time to make a another move.

i quit a job last december w/o having another job lined.. i was only there for 9months but i hated every moment of it basically b.c of the staff i worked with..i had gone on several interviews prior to quitting but nothing. finally i got an interview and was hired that day... well here almost 7months and i wanted to be out of here after 2months... a lot of us r on the same boat...its not hard getting a job, its hard to get a job that you really enjoy...but nothing is worse than being miserable so once again i looking for another job.. u just have to have some faith.. good luck

You owe this HH nothing! Your happiness is worth far more than his commission! He doesn't care about you...he cares about the money he is making off of you! Get a job that makes you happy!
