House rentals in OBX

I didn't want to hyjack the other thread , so I started a new one.

We are considering renting a house in the OBX next summer. (for a week or 2) Which areas are good to look in? Does anyone have any recommendations for rental agencies? TIA!

my parents have a house down there. it really depends on what your looking for. if you want more activities, shopping and stuff like that i would look in nags head, kitty hawk, duck, corolla....
BUT, if you don't mind a little bit less "action", hatteras island is great! ( thats where my parensts house is) its a national seashore, so some of it is preserved. like you'll drive a few miles and come to a town, and then drive a few more miles of nothing and come to another town.... but there is still stuff to do there. my parents house is in Avon on hatteras island, which is the most " built up" town on hatteras. theres a grocery store, mini golf, jet skii rentals, a movie theater, some shops, and a lot of great restaurants. the llighthouse is also on hatteras island, whic is neat to see.... let me know if you have any more questions
