People Who Have Been to NC...
We're leaving this weekend for a family reunion in NC and are stopping off in Raleigh for a few days first. Anyone been there and have sights or restaurants, etc. to recommend?

Hmmm....we stayed in Raliegh when visiting friends in Clayton.
Sad to say, there was NOTHING that impressed me enough to recommend.
One shopping area was nice, forget what area, not Raleigh though. It was an upscale area supposedly...dont know the name of the town.
Wish I could have helped more.

Southpark is the upscale area with the mall.

Raleigh has a million state parks and many lakes.
as for restauarnts, I can't remember names, we were there almost a yr ago. we had the best mexican food ever down there at some small family owned place in a shopping center. that was in Cary though.

When I lived there, I used to go to "Bahama Breeze". It was different. Kind of Carribean atmosphere. Not sure if they are still good.
There is the "Angus Barn" but never go there on weekends. The wait is very long.
