There is lots to do near Mohegan Sun, you can always drive to Mystic, CT, plenty of nice shops, resturaunts, aquarium.
There are quite a few hotels down the road from Mohegan Sun that are very nice and close to the casino.

look up cedar park suites. it is near both foxwoods and mohegan.
it is amazing, such a romantic place to stay!!!

We usually stay at Microtel or the Best Western that is 2 minutes down the road from Mohegan.. They are both cheap and both come with breakfast in the am...
If it is a special occasion then we stay at Mohegan..
