Fiesta Americana Vacation Club at Cancun
Has anyone stayed at this facility? We are considering going there in February.
Also, is Feb. a busy time for college kids to visit Cancun? I thought it was more March, but I'm not sure.
Lastly, is there a lot to do in the area? Dining, shopping, etc.?
I haven't been to Cancun in ten years and can't remember!
TIA

Re: Fiesta Americana Vacation Club at Cancun
I have stayed at the Fiesta Americana in Cancun, but we stayed at the one in Cabo San Lucas four years ago and I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was BEAUTIFUL, the service was great, and it was a really relaxing time. If you don't have your heart set on Cancun, check out Cabo, it's a little less "spring breaky" and just an awesome place to visit.
PS, I have been to at least 20 timeshares in different parts of the country/world and this was one of my top two!

February is mid-winter session for schools, so there will probably be a lot of families- though college kids shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the info! Is this an all inclusive resort? If so, can you opt not to do all inclusive??
Also, when you traveled to Cabo, did you take a direct flight? I'm looking up flights for our desired dates, and everything has a connection....

No it wasn't all inclusive. THe hotel had three restaurants (I think) and we ate at them a few times, but we rented a car and drove to Cabo and San Jose del Cabo to eat a few days. THe also had an awesome swimup bar with appetizers (I remember they had delicious jumbo shrimp skewers).
We had to change in Mexico City - I don't think any airlines fly direct but I'm not sure. My sister thinks you can fly direct out of Newark. She'll be in Cabo next week (not at the Fiesta Americana though) if you want any Cabo details.
