Should I Be This Upset

Ok I forgot to copy a co-worker on an email today, its happened once before. She comes into my office and accuses me of trying to take her job.

It did happen once before, but am I supposed to copy her on everything. She literally get 200 extra emails she does not need.

I know this was my mistake, but I am upset that she thinks I want her job. I know she is going to talk to my boss about it. I am just going to tell him the truth. The email came from him so I discussed the matter with him, I though since the email came from him he makes the decision on the matter.

I am really upset about it.

Is this co-worker someone you report to?

If your boss didn't specify to copy her, why is it even a 'mistake' to have not copied her?

Your co-worker sounds like she might be insecure, paranoid, or just a control-freak! Certainly, her accusation sounds way out of proportion, based on what you described.

Hopefully, your boss will recognize that. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it!
