I want flat hair!!!!!!!!!!! I know this sounds abnormal but look here..

I know most people want to plump their hair up. Most people want thickness and volume. But I DONT!!!!!

My hair is SO THICK and has SO MUCH VOLUME no matter what I do. Now stupid me went and cut layers into my hair so its so puffy, I am going insane!!!!!!

I WANT FLAT HAIR! I WANT LIMP HAIR!

Does anyone know of any products that I can buy to make it more limp?? I am telling ya..nothing works..I over condition, use every straightening tool that I can find..and nothing! It gets straight with my iron but its still plump..anyone have ANY suggestions at all???? I am DESPERATE!!!!!!!

LOL I know exactly what you mean, same here!

Certain shampoos help, and then if it is not super humid out, I blow dry then flat iron.

Some of the better smoothing shampoos I have used are:

Finesse
Tresemme
Pantene Smooth n Sleek
Sunsilk

Right now I am on the Finesse kick....

Phytodéfrisant is amazing. It makes my naturally wavy/curly hair totally smooth.

BioSilk always made my hair flatter than I wanted...

They sell shampoo, conditioner, and a serum. I used to buy it at Ulta.

Can we switch? My hair is two sheets that lay flat against each side of my face.

It's true, layers add even more volume. I would grow out the layers and get a one-length blunt cut. I would invest in the smoothing shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and get yourself a nice CHI straightening tool, look for one that can be used on wet hair. Other than that, maybe you can look into JHS? That's all I can think of, but really, I'm so jealous of your hair!

I have the same problem and I also just cut layers in my hair. I just recently bought Biolage smoothing gel, you put a little onto wet hair, then style as usual. Well so far it has been working great! Even today with temps over 100 here in VA, my hair did not frizz or get puffy!!! I was so excited. It is definitely worth a try!

frizz ease works well for me. I have had the same thoughts about wanting flat hair!!
Although for me, if the layers are cut correctly, they shouldn't make your hair puff out. I have been both ways - bad haircuts that made my hair super pouffy and good haircuts that made it look awesome. You should look for someone to cut your hair that has hair similar in texture to you or has a lot of experience with thick hair.
