If you interviewed while working at another district
Who did you use for references?
Do you use people from your current district?

I have used people from my current district, but I gave them a heads up prior to doing it, so they were prepared to be contacted.

I wrote the names of people in my district and asked them not to call until they were sure about me. They never said that they were sure about me and ended up calling a personal friend/teacher (ex-dept chair) in my district and she gave me a glowing recommendation and I got the job.

I checked with all of them first- except my Principal. I had to call her and give her a heads up when they were going to call.
