Question for the teachers about tutoring.
My neighbor wants me to tutor her daughter for 3rd grade math. I have no idea what to charge her. What do you think per hour?
I have my masters, btw.

Re: Question for the teachers about tutoring.
I charge $85. I'd maybe keep in mind what they can afford, but also remember you are providing a valuable service. (Where I am, people dont bat an eye at that price, but I know that for some families it might be a lot.)

Re: Question for the teachers about tutoring.
Yes, you should definitely take that into consideration. Even when Ive known the people, I have not done it for under $55. If you think $40 is fair knowing them and their child and the work you'll need to do, go for it!

Re: Question for the teachers about tutoring.
I would typically charge $60, but I tutor a friend's daughter for $40. I think that is fair.
