Does anyone else feel....
like a complete failure and angry about this whole process? I know I do! Everyone is walking around work today with their children and babies. It's all I can do not to break down in tears. People ask "when are you two going to have kids?" and I have no idea what to say to that. I just feel like "why me?", "what did I do to deserve this?"
I know I'm just feeling sorry for myself today but I had to vent!

ABSOLUTELY! And when you're a high achiever as I've always been, it's hard to accept that something so simple for most people is IMPOSSIBLE foe me to accomplish!

Reading your responses breaks my heart and yet, I feel the same at times. There are the other times, when I know that, nothing in my life has come easily...but when it finally did, it surpassed my dreams.
I pray that we are all blessed with healthy pregnancies and beautiful babies, very soon.
One thing is certain, that when we do get there....we will make some incredible mothers. We will love our children just a "little bit more".

Thanks ladies. I know I'm feeling sorry for myself but last year at this time, I really thought I would have a baby or be pregnant. I usually decorate the house a lot of Halloween - this year, I didn't even get a pumpkin.

I totally know how you feel. It's like, with so many things in life, if you work hard enough, you can achieve your goals. But with TTC, no amount of hard work and no amount of money can get you what you want. Hang in there, there's nothing you can do but keep believing that it WILL happen!

As all of you I"ve experienced the same feelings
But what has been working for me is really seeing my infertility for what it is - a disease and something I or my DH can not control.
While I don't wish IF on anyone I do have to grasp the positives I"ve learned from it - that I have the most incredible and loving DH on the planet, that I'm very lucky to have the support of family and friends during this time, that I've connected with a wonderful bunch of ladies and that I have a place to go to to share my thoughts, fears and questions and finally I know in my heart that I will be a mother - I have no idea how/when it will happen but IF has taught me how strong my desire to be a mother is....

I feel this way a lot.
Especially with so many friends and co-workers who are "accidentally" pregnant, or pregnant after a month of trying, or already on their 3rd or 4th baby!!
And then even more so when I see the news about crack-addicts who have 4 babies or moms that abandon their kids on the streets. It makes me feel like the world is a really unfair place sometimes.
But then I think about the good things that I have - a happy marriage, a house, a job I don't hate, a great family support team and good friends - and then I know that I should feel blessed for these things alone and try to give myself some perspective.
It works sometimes and other times I have a little pity party for myself.
It's like every time AF shows I have a little grieving process.
But I try to only let it last a day or so!!

I feel the same way -- but between this and Redstar's advice, I just made an appt. to see my OB/GYN on Sunday to discuss the next steps to take. Since I got pg naturally in March, we thought it would happen again easily - and it isn't. TIme to get aggressive...at 39 yo.... So I think the more info. I have about myself (temps, cm, opks), the better.
