TIA

Jackie,

Go to New Hyde Park- Garden City Park's school district web site. I saw in the last week a posting for an elementary reading/literacy teacher.

Good Luck!

I got 2 interviews that way last year.
I put on dress pants, dress shirt etc, took my bag w/ my portfolio and copies of resumes and went to diff. school districts.

Can't hurt. New teacher turnover is pretty huge. At the HS I worked at in the City, 3-5 teachers (sometimes more) every year would run away screaming during the first week and needed to be replaced. So if you go in person, you'd be in the right place at the right time.

Good luck!
